Server Synchronisation

ID #1179

What is the best way of backing up the virtual machines that are in use?

If using NFS as a connection the easiest way is to backup the images using the built in server synchronisation feature. Because the files are in use it is recommended to create a synchronisation job with the option "snapshot replication".

In this case prior starting the replication a snapshot will be created and replicated (not the live data) - this will improve the consistency of the files.
